To Iceland

The crossing was straightforward. Winds mostly F4 to 6, touching F7 at one point. Seas were rougher than usual. Much of it was following winds. 4 days from the Isle of Lewis to Djupivogur. A lot of bird life, including the skua (bonxie) and the Arctic skua (jaeger).

It being midnight, the time this pic was taken, we hove to 25 miles off the coast and slept for a few hours.

At the dock, this giant cop greeted me: "Long Time No See" We have an ongoing history.

Paul found many varieties of orchid. Coeglossum viride.    On our last walk we botanized for a few hours.          Pic: Paul

After this he caught the bus out & flew home.

Two days alone, I went through all sorts of jobs & repairs on Teddy. The big one was the toilet outflow pump. I thought my spare was new but it wasn't. Spent all afternoon trying to sort the leak which both pumps had, then emailed Josh in New Zealand to get me a brand new pump & spares kit. Then I figured out a creative way using Sikaflex to seal the leak in both pumps. Perfection. It took me 7 hours. I now own 3 of these pumps.

Diego arrived 2 days ago. Tonight we'll go with Jon to Hofn an hour south to pick up Josh & Hue. They left New Zealand 2 days ago.
